Scottsdale, AZ -- October 16, 2005 -- AppAxis today announced the upcoming availability of AxisCommerce, an e-commerce engine designed for use in the retail and merchandising sector. Encompassing thousands of popular commerce features, AxisCommerce allows any business -- from a small eBay retailer to a large multi-national retailer -- to easily power their online commerce operations with ease of configuration while preserving the flexibility that the most complex retail operations require. AxisCommerce, currently in beta testing, already powers some of the internet's most popular e-stores, from one of the country's largest wine retailers to the entertainment industry's hottest merchandising sites, including sites with over 40,000 active SKU's.

FEATURE LIST:

• Intelligent search that allows product catalogs to be browsed in a heirarchical fasion and context sensitive searching without any configuration or product specific code.
• Persistent cart
• Live inventory tracking
• Inventory module API - allows for creation of plugins to support complex inventory rules and live interaction with external inventory systems.
• Shipping Module API - plugin architecture for supporting different shipping methods (all FedEx and USPS services currently available)
• Billing Module API - plugin architecture for supporting different payment methods and gateways such as credit card processors, e-check, money order, paypal.
• Setup wizard for small stores to get up and running quickly

AxisCommerce requires Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or later as well as Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Compatibility with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 will be released as an update upon SQL Server 2005's release. AxisCommerce is built using the Microsoft .NET technology and will, upon release, natively support ASP.NET 2.0 technology.
